Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail 1 (100X in DMSO)
Many cellular processes are regulated by reversible phosphorylation of proteins, and approximately 30% of proteins may become phosphorylated during their lifetime. Cellular crude extracts contain numerous endogenous enzymes, such as phosphatases and proteases, which can degrade and modify proteins present in the extract. Addition of inhibitors for these enzymes is the optimal approach for maximizing intact protein yield.
Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail 1 inhibits alkaline phosphatase L-isoenzymes and serine/threonine phosphatases, such as protein phosphatases 1 and 2A (PP1 and PP2A). It has been optimized and tested in cell extracts from various animal tissues.This Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail 1 contains Cantharidin, Bromotetramisole, and Microcystin LR. It is supplied as a ready-to-use solution in DMSO.
