Protease Inhibitor Cocktail for bacterial cell extracts (100 X in DMSO)
Under stable environmental conditions, endogenous protein synthesis and degradation are balanced, thus maintaining stable cellular protein levels. Cell crude extracts contain numerous endogenous enzymes, such as phosphatases and proteases, that can degrade proteins in the extracts. During in vitro protein extraction from cells and tissues, protein synthesis practically ceases while protein degradation increases. The optimal way to enhance yields of intact proteins is to add inhibitors for these known enzymes.
The Protease Inhibitor Cocktail for bacterial cell extracts (100X in DMSO) is designed for bacterial extracts to enhance the stability of proteins. This cocktail inhibits proteases responsible for degrading non-phosphorylated or phosphorylated protein substrates.
This Protease Inhibitor Cocktail is provided as a ready-to-use solution and it is formulated in DMSO. 1 Set indicates a 1X format (1 mL A + 1 mL B), whereas 10 Sets represent a 10X format (1 mL A + 1 mL B), and so on.
Thaw at room temperature, add at 1:100 (v/v) dilution to solution samples (such as bacterial cell extracts) before assaying.
Applications: WB, Co-IP, pull-down, IF, IHC, kinase assay and etc.
