Background

EZ Cap Reagent GG is a co-transcriptional capping reagent for in vitro transcription of 5’ capped mRNA resulting in a Cap 1 structure. EZ Cap GG requires a GG initiator. EZ Cap GG typically provides >90% capped material generating a natural Cap 1 structure.

EZ Cap is compatible with wild-type T7 polymerase. 5 mM Cap and rNTPs is recommended.

Template design is an integral part of any transcription. EZ Cap Reagent GG should be used with a specific initiating sequence as 5’ GG 3’.

Final capping efficiency is dependent on the EZ Cap Reagent, DNA template and final mRNA sequence. Secondary structure due to RNA length and base composition may have an influence on final capping efficiency.

Unlike Cap AG, using Cap GG might lead to the comparable ARCA transcriptional stuttering and yield.
