Featured Products
Fumonisin B1 (CAS 116355-83-0) is a mycotoxin isolated from the fungus Fusarium moniliforme. It potently inhibits sphingosine N-acyltransferase (ceramide synthase), an enzyme critical to sphingolipid biosynthesis, leading to the intracellular accumulation of sphingoid bases (IC?? ~75 nM). Additionally, Fumonisin B1 exhibits inhibitory activity against several protein phosphatases, notably PP5, PP2Cα, PP2A, PP1γ2, and PP2B, with IC?? ranging from approximately 80 μM (PP5) to 3000 μM (PP2B). This compound is employed in biomedical research to investigate sphingolipid metabolism, cell signaling, and phosphatase-related cellular processes.
