CFDA SE Cell Tracer Kit
CFDA SE is a fluorescein diacetate derivative that penetrates the membranes of living cells and is catalyzed by intracellular esterases into CFSE, a green fluorescent molecule with membrane impermeability. CFSE then irreversibly covalently binds to lysine residues or other amino groups on intracellular proteins, thereby becoming trapped within the cell. Excess unbound probes are passively expelled and washed away. As cells divide, the bound CFSE fluorescence is evenly distributed to the progeny cells, resulting in a halving of the fluorescence intensity with each generation. This allows flow cytometry to distinguish between undivided cells and those that have undergone 1 (1/2 intensity), 2 (1/4 intensity), 3 (1/8 intensity), or more divisions. CFSE is capable of detecting cell proliferation over 8 or more division cycles.
This kit provides high-purity CFDA SE powder and anhydrous DMSO, suitable for the labeling and tracing of various cell types, including lymphocytes, fibroblasts, and NK cells. The assay eliminates the need for radioactive materials, making it safer and more convenient to use, while ensuring that CFDA SE-labeled cells do not stain neighboring cells. Furthermore, this kit is compatible with other fluorescent probes (such as apoptosis detection dyes and surface marker antibodies) for multi-parameter analysis, making it widely applicable in immunology, tumor biology, stem cell differentiation, and drug screening.
