LTB4 ω-hydroxylase inhibitor
Featured Products
17-ODYA (CAS: 34450-18-5) is a selective inhibitor of cytochrome P450 fatty acid ω-hydroxylase, an enzyme responsible for ω-hydroxylation reactions involved in steroid, cholesterol, and lipid metabolism. By blocking ω-hydroxylation, 17-ODYA reduces formation of bioactive lipid mediators, such as epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs) and 20-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (20-HETE). In rat renal cortical microsomes, 17-ODYA inhibits arachidonic acid ω-hydroxylation (IC50 <100 nM), resulting in enhanced sodium excretion and urine output. It also modulates vascular contractility and endothelium-mediated vasorelaxation, making it useful in vascular physiology and inflammation research.
