chemotherapy drug used to treat bladder cancer
Featured Products
Valrubicin (CAS No.: 56124-62-0) is an anthracycline antitumor antibiotic, mainly used for the treatment of bladder cancer, especially carcinoma in situ (CIS) of the bladder that is unresponsive to Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) immunotherapy. Its mechanism of action involves intercalation into double-stranded DNA, interfering with DNA replication and RNA synthesis, thereby inhibiting tumor cell proliferation. In vitro studies show that Valrubicin exhibits inhibitory activity against multiple cancer cell lines at low micromolar levels. In preclinical studies, Valrubicin is typically administered via intravesical instillation to act directly on cancer cells within the bladder. The doses or concentrations used in experiments usually depend on the experimental design and research objectives.
