Upidosin (Rec15/2739) is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist.Upidosin has intermediate selectivity for alpha-1AAR subtypes.Upidosin is uroselective, with higher affinity in the urethra and prostate, with values of 2-3 nM, and in the auricular artery and aorta, with values of 20-100 nM.Upidosin inhibits [ 3H]prazosin binding to human alpha-1A adrenergic receptors.Upidosin can be used in studies of urethral obstruction.
