Tetramisole HCl

Tetramisole HCl (CAS No.: 5086-74-8) is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic mainly used to treat various parasitic infections. Its mechanism of action involves interference with the parasite nervous system, leading to paralysis and death. In addition, Tetramisole HCl has also been studied for immunomodulation, enhancing macrophage chemotaxis and T-lymphocyte function, thereby restoring immune responses. In biomedical research, Tetramisole HCl is commonly used as an alkaline phosphatase inhibitor, suitable for inhibiting various alkaline phosphatases (such as liver, kidney, placental, bone, and tumor), but it has a weaker inhibitory effect on intestinal alkaline phosphatase.
