Rubone is a chalcone analog.Rubone up-regulates miR-34a expression in a p53-dependent manner, down-regulates downstream target and cell cycle protein D1 expression, and inhibits the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in vivo.Rubone potentiates the effect of paclitaxel (PTX; HY-B0015) by reversing the expression of downstream targets of miR-34a in PTX-resistant prostate cancer cell lines.
