Background

PYD-106 is a stereoselective pyrrolidone (PYD) orthosteric modulator for GluN2C-containing NMDA receptors.PYD-106 increased the open frequency and open time of single-channel currents activated by the maximum effective concentration of agonist but had little effect on glutamate and glycine.PYD-106 selectively enhanced the response of the diiso-poly GluN1/ GluN2C receptor responses, but not triheteropolymerized GluN1/GluN2A/GluN2C receptor responses.
