PF-06424439 methanesulfonate
PF-06424439 methanesulfonate is an orally effective and selective imidazole-pyridine diacylglycerol acyltransferase 2 (DGAT2) inhibitor with an IC₅₀ of 14 nM. DGAT2 is a key enzyme in the triglyceride synthesis pathway. Inhibiting DGAT2 can reduce the synthesis of triglycerides and may thus be used in the treatment of metabolism-related diseases. PF-06424439 methanesulfonate exhibits a slow, reversible, time-dependent inhibitory effect and inhibits DGAT2 in a non-competitive mode compared with acyl-COA substrates. This unique inhibitory mechanism makes it of great significance in pharmacological research and clinical development, and it is expected to become a new drug candidate for the treatment of diseases related to lipid metabolism disorders.
