PA-8 is a potent, selective, and orally active PACAPI-type receptor antagonist.PA-8 inhibits PACAP-induced phosphorylation of CREB in the receptor, but does not inhibit VPAC1 or VPAC2 receptors.PA-8 also inhibits PACAP-induced elevation of cAMP to a value of 2 nM.
