NAZ2329 is the first cell-permeable inhibitor of the R5 subfamily of receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatases (RPTPs), and it metastably and preferentially inhibits (hPTPRZ1=7.5μM) and (hPTPRG=4.8μM) relative to other PTPs.NAZ2329 binds to the D1 structural domain, and is more effective in inhibiting the PTPRZ1-D1 fragment relative to the entire (D1+D2) fragment at a value of 1.1μM. effectively inhibits the PTPRZ1-D1 fragment with a value of 1.1 μM.NAZ2329 effectively inhibits tumor growth and suppresses stem cell-like properties in glioblastoma cells.
