microRNA-21-IN-1 is a potent inhibitor. microRNA-21-IN-1 exhibits antiproliferative activity against Hela and HCT-116 cells at 5.5 μM and 2.8 μM, respectively, and also promotes apoptosis in Hela cells. microRNA-21-IN-1 upregulates the expression of functional targets downstream of microRNA-21 ( PTEN, EGR1, SLIT2) expression. microRNA-21-IN-1 can be used for anti-cancer research.
