Background

(+)-Magnoflorine iodide (Magnoflorine iodide) is an aporphine alkaloid isolated from Acorus calamus. Studies have shown that the compound has significant antifungal activity and can effectively reduce the formation of Candida albicans biofilm. (+)-Magnoflorine iodide also showed good antioxidant activity, capable of scavenging free radicals and protecting cells from oxidative damage. It also has an anti-diabetic effect, regulating blood sugar levels and improving insulin sensitivity.
