It contains an Azide moiety and can undergo a copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing an Alkyne moiety. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
