Background

HCH6-1 is a potent competitive dipeptide antagonist of formyl peptide receptor 1. HCH6-1 inhibits chemotaxis, superoxide anion production and elastase release in human neutrophils specifically activated by fMLF (FPR1 agonist). In animal experiments, HCH6-1 was protective against acute lung injury (ALI) and could be used in the study of inflammatory lung diseases in which FPR1 is involved.
