GS87 is a highly specific inhibitor of GSK3α and GSK3β at 415 nM and 521 nM, respectively.GS87 induces differentiation of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cell lines by potently activating GSK3-dependent signaling components, including MAPK signaling.GS87 is more potent than Lithium and SB415285 (SB) at regulating key GSK3 target proteins involved in cell proliferation and differentiation.GS87 has the potential to be investigated as a differentiation agent in non-premature granulocytic AML.
