Estramustine is an antitumor agent. Estramustine depolymerizes microtubules and has antimitotic activity, with an approximate mitotic IC50 of 16 μM in DU145 cells. Estramustine blocks mitosis of prostate tumor cells in a prostate tumor xenograft model.
