Cyanine 5 amine hydrochloride
Cy5 amine hydrochloride is a Cy5 fluorescent dye derivative containing an amino functional group (-NH₂), typically available in hydrochloride salt form. It has an excitation wavelength around 646 nm and an emission wavelength around 662 nm, placing it in the far-red spectral region with relatively low background interference. The amino functional group of Cy5 amine hydrochloride enables coupling reactions with various reactive groups (such as carboxyl, aldehyde, activated ester, etc.), facilitating fluorescent labeling of proteins, nucleic acids, antibodies, peptides, or other biomolecules (λ_ex = 646 nm, λ_em = 662 nm). The labeled molecules can be widely used in experimental techniques such as fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), fluorescence confocal microscopy, and fluorescent immunoassays.
