Background

BTM-3528 is an activator of the mitochondrial protease OMA1 and mediates overactivation of the mitochondrial integrative stress response (ISR).BTM-3528 stimulates OMA1-dependent DELE1 and OPA1 cleavage, and mitochondrial breakage.BTM-3528 activates the eIF2α kinase HRI, which induces cell growth arrest and apoptosis (cell death). BTM-3528 has anticancer activity against a variety of DLBCL cell lines and has in vivo inhibitory potency in a mouse model of xenografted human DLBCLSU-DHL-10 cells.
