Bicyclol

Bicyclol (SY801) is an orally administered compound derived from Schisandra, with multiple biological activities such as antiviral, antioxidant, and antitumor effects. At the cellular level, Bicyclol can regulate heat shock protein expression, inhibit hepatocyte apoptosis and the ROS-related MAPK-NF-κB signaling pathway to reduce virus-induced inflammatory responses, and prevent ferroptosis in liver injury. In addition, Bicyclol can alter the expression of Mdr-1, glutathione, and Bcl-2 genes, reverse drug resistance in cancer cells, and modulate the PI3K/AKT and Ras/Raf/MEK/ERK signaling pathways, making it suitable for research on hepatitis, fatty liver, and liver cancer.
