A peptide hormone with vasoconstrictive and antidiuretic properties
Featured Products
Argipressin is a synthetic antidiuretic hormone analogue, belonging to the polypeptide class, which is an acetate form of Argipressin and is commonly used in the medical field, especially in the treatment of certain types of bleeding and symptoms of antidiuretic hormone deficiency. Argipressin works by binding to V2 receptors in the kidneys and promoting water reabsorption, thereby reducing urine volume. In addition, it has the effect of constricting blood vessels, increasing blood pressure by binding to the V1 receptor of the vascular smooth muscle. Because of its potent vasoconstrictive properties, Argipressin acetate is used as a hemostatic agent in acute hemorrhagic disorders.
