Featured Products
Alosetron-13C, D3 is a stable isotope-labeled form of Alosetron. Alosetron is a selective 5-hydroxytryptamine type 3 (5-HT3) receptor antagonist, mainly used to treat diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) in female patients. By blocking intestinal 5-HT3 receptors, Alosetron modulates intestinal motility and secretion, thereby alleviating diarrhea symptoms. In in vitro studies, Alosetron shows nanomolar high affinity in its inhibitory activity against the 5-HT3 receptor. In cell and animal models, Alosetron can effectively reduce intestinal peristalsis and secretion and improve IBS-D symptoms. In drug screening studies, Alosetron-13C, D3 can be used as an internal standard for mass spectrometry analysis to improve detection sensitivity and accuracy. The dose or concentration used in experiments typically depends on the experimental design and research objectives.
