Featured Products
Adiponectin is also called Acrp30 or AdipoQ. Adiponectin is an adipocyte-specific secreted protein with 244-amino acids polypeptide. Mouse adiponectin has about 83% amino acid identity with that of human. Adiponectin is involved in regulating glucose levels and fatty acid breakdown. It is induced during adipocyte differentiation and its secretion is stimulated by insulin. Adiponectin is secreted from adipose tissue (and also from the placenta in pregnancy) into the bloodstream and is very abundant in plasma relative to many hormones.
