Bi-functional alkylating agent
Featured Products
VAL-083 is a bi-functional alkylating agent, with potential antitumor activity.
VAL-083 can cross the blood brain barrier and appears to be selective for tumor cells. VAL-083 alkylates and crosslinks DNA which ultimately inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells. VAL-083 does not show cross-resistance to other conventional chemotherapeutic agents. The half-life of VAL-083 in the brain is long. VAL-083 has been assessed in multiple studies as chemotherapy in the treatment of newly diagnosed and recurrent brain tumors.
