Description

Anti-rabbit secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies specifically targeting rabbit immunoglobulins, and are applicable for the detection, sorting, or purification of their particular targets. Secondary antibodies offer additional functionality, enabling users to utilize various detection systems such as HRP, AP, and fluorescence. They also provide enhanced sensitivity through signal amplification, since multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody. Typically, secondary antibodies are produced by immunizing a host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species, and can be further purified and modified (e.g., by immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, conjugation labeling, etc.) to generate highly specific reagents.
