Description

Anti-mouse secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies specific to mouse immunoglobulins, and can be used for detecting, sorting, or purifying specific targets. Secondary antibodies offer added versatility, enabling users to utilize multiple detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence). They can also enhance sensitivity through signal amplification, since multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody. Typically, secondary antibodies are generated by immunizing host animals with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species, and may be further purified and modified (e.g., via immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, or conjugation labeling) to produce highly specific reagents.
