Protease Inhibitor Cocktail (EDTA-Free,100X in DMSO)
Crude cell extracts typically contain numerous endogenous enzymes, such as phosphatases and proteases, that can degrade proteins. During cell or tissue protein extraction in vitro, protein synthesis is significantly inhibited while degradation is enhanced. Adding inhibitors against these enzymes can improve yields of intact proteins. Protease inhibitor cocktails are used with cell lysates or tissue extracts to enhance protein stability.
Our protease inhibitor cocktail has broad specificity and serves as a general-use protease inhibitor set, suitable for purifying histidine-tagged proteins. It contains multiple critical components, including AEBSF, Aprotinin, Bestatin, E-64, Leupeptin, Phosphoramidon, and Pepstatin A, with broad inhibition specificity against serine proteases, cysteine proteases, acidic proteases, aminopeptidases, and metalloproteases. The product is supplied as a ready-to-use solution in DMSO, and can be used in WB, Co-IP, pull-down assays, IF, IHC, and kinase assays.
