TAS-102
TAS‑102 (CAS 733030-01-8) is an oral nucleoside antitumor combination consisting of the thymidine nucleoside analogue trifluridine (FTD; Cat. No. A8542, CAS 70-00-8) and the thymidine phosphorylase inhibitor tipiracil (Cat. No. BA3519, CAS 183204-74-2). Following phosphorylation, FTD is converted to its triphosphate form (FTD‑TP) and is massively incorporated into DNA, which constitutes the principal cytotoxic mechanism. FTD‑TP incorporation induces p53 activation and sustained G2‑phase arrest, and, via suppression of AKT and NF‑κB signaling, down‑regulates VEGF and FGF2, thereby conferring both antiproliferative and anti‑angiogenic activity.
