Ac-YVAD-CMK
Ac-YVAD-cmk is a selective caspase-1 (Caspase-1, also known as IL-1β converting enzyme, ICE) inhibitor and a research tool compound for the pyroptosis pathway. This inhibitor irreversibly binds to the active site of Caspase-1, thereby blocking the maturation and release of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-18, exerting anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects. In biomedical research, Ac-YVAD-cmk is commonly used in studies on inflammatory responses, neurodegenerative lesions and the pathogenesis of related diseases, as well as regulatory mechanisms of apoptosis and pyroptosis pathways.
