Used in fluorescent detection of biotinylated antibodies, proteins or other molecules
Featured Products
Streptavidin is a tetrameric protein with a molecular weight of 52,800 Daltons. Streptavidin exhibits an exceptionally high affinity for biotin, and one molecule of streptavidin can irreversibly bind four molecules of biotin. Streptavidin-Cy5 is used to detect biotinylated antibodies, proteins, nucleic acids or other molecules, and can be applied in immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunofluorescence (IF), in situ hybridization (ISH) or flow cytometry. Cy5 serves as the fluorescent label, with a maximum excitation at 650 nm and maximum emission at 670 nm.
