Streptavidin – Cy5
Catalog No.
K1080
Used in fluorescent detection of biotinylated antibodies, proteins or other molecules
Featured Products
Streptavidin is a 52,800 dalton homotetramer protein. It has an extraordinarily high affinity for biotin, one molecule of streptavidin binds four molecules of biotin by a non-covalent interaction that is essentially irreversible. Streptavidin-Cy5 is useful for the detection of biotinylated antibodies, proteins, nucleic acids or other molecules in immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunofluorescence (IF), in situ hybridization (ISH), or flow cytometry. Cy5 is excited maximally at 650 nm, emits maximally at 670 nm.
