Featured Products
Palmatine hydrochloride (CAS No.: 10605-02-4) is a protoberberine alkaloid mainly found in plants such as Coptis chinensis and Corydalis yanhusuo. Studies have shown that Palmatine hydrochloride has multiple biological activities, including anticancer, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, antibacterial, and antiviral effects. In anticancer research, Palmatine hydrochloride exhibits inhibitory effects on multiple cancer cell lines through mechanisms such as inhibiting cell proliferation, inducing apoptosis, and arresting the cell cycle, with in vitro activity levels typically in the low micromolar range. In addition, Palmatine hydrochloride has also been found to inhibit indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO-1), with IC50 values ranging from low micromolar to mid micromolar. In antiviral research, Palmatine hydrochloride shows non-competitive inhibition of the West Nile virus (WNV) NS2B-NS3 protease, with an IC50 of approximately 96 μM. In cell and animal models, Palmatine hydrochloride is commonly used to evaluate its effects on cancer cell proliferation, inflammatory responses, and viral replication, and the doses or concentrations used in experiments typically depend on the experimental design and research objectives.
