Nodakenetin
Nodakenetin (CAS 495-32-9) is a natural coumarin compound derived from plants such as Angelica dahurica. Mechanistically, it induces tumor cell apoptosis and arrests the cell cycle by inhibiting the PI3K/Akt and MAPK signaling pathways as well as tumor angiogenesis. Additionally, it can suppress the activation of the NF-κB pathway and the release of inflammatory factors such as TNF-α and IL-6. Nodakenetin also exhibits antioxidant effects by scavenging free radicals and enhancing SOD activity. Bioactivity data show that it inhibits the proliferation of HepG2 liver cancer cells and A549 lung cancer cells with IC50 values of approximately 25.3 μM and 31.7 μM, respectively. Its DPPH free radical scavenging EC50 is 31.2 μM, and it inhibits TNF-α-induced NF-κB activity with an IC50 of 18.7 μM. The core functions of nodakenetin focus on anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, and neuroprotective activities. It is applied in the pharmacological activity research of natural products, as a precursor for drug development in anti-tumor/anti-inflammatory/hepatoprotective directions, and in scientific exploration of related signaling pathway regulatory mechanisms.
