Ganoderic acid G
Ganoderic acid G (CAS 98665-22-6) is a natural triterpenoid compound derived from fungi of the genus Ganoderma. Mechanistically, it inhibits tumor cell proliferation and induces apoptosis by modulating signaling pathways such as PI3K/Akt, MAPK, and NF-κB. Additionally, it exerts antioxidant effects by scavenging free radicals and enhancing antioxidant enzyme activity. Ganoderic acid G can also inhibit the release of inflammatory cytokines and the activity of enzymes related to liver injury. Bioactivity data show that it inhibits the proliferation of HepG2 liver cancer cells and A549 lung cancer cells with IC50 values of approximately 32.5 μM and 41.8 μM, respectively; its DPPH free radical scavenging EC50 is 28.6 μM; and it inhibits TNF-α-induced inflammatory cytokine release with an IC50 of 23.4 μM. Its core functions focus on anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, and immunomodulatory activities.
