DMG-PEG2000-NH₂ is a polyethylene glycol (PEG) derivative with a molecular weight of approximately 2000 Da. Its structure consists of a PEG chain with distearoylglycerol (DMG) at one end and an amino (-NH₂) -modified at the other end. The DMG part has good liposolubility and can be inserted into liposomes or cell membranes, while the PEG chain endows the molecule with excellent water solubility and biocompatibility. The amino terminal can be used for coupling with drugs, fluorescent molecules or other bioactive molecules, and is often used for surface modification of drug delivery systems such as liposomes and nanoparticles.
