Background

AT-101 (acetic acid) is the levorotatory isomeric form of the natural product Gossypol and can act on Bcl-2 family proteins. Studies have shown that AT-101 can bind to anti-apoptotic proteins such as Bcl-2, Mcl-1, and Bcl-xL, with Ki values of 260±30 nM, 170±10 nM, and 480±40 nM, respectively, thereby inhibiting their function. AT-101 is commonly used for research on apoptosis mechanisms, as well as for exploring the roles related to targeting anti-apoptotic pathways in anti-tumor drug development.
