Spermine NONOate
Catalog No.
B6612
nitric oxide donor
Featured Products
Spermine NONOate (CAS: 136587-13-8) is a diazeniumdiolate-type nitric oxide (NO) donor. It releases NO, stimulating guanylate cyclase activity and subsequently elevating intracellular cyclic GMP (cGMP) levels. In rat pulmonary artery studies, application of Spermine NONOate (100 μM) enhanced cGMP levels by approximately 35-fold, driving relaxation events via activation of ion pumps and channels including sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2?-ATPase, Na?/K?-ATPase, and Ca2?-activated K? channels. Additionally, this molecule attenuates copper sulfate-induced oxidation of human LDL and reduces surgical adhesion formation in animal models.
