Sodium Pyruvate (100X)

Pyruvate serves as a crucial energy substrate in cell culture. In glucose-containing medium, sodium pyruvate supplements the primary carbon source, supporting cellular bioenergetics while mitigating excessive lactate accumulation associated with high glucose metabolism. Although endogenous pyruvate is a natural metabolite of glycolysis, exogenous supplementation is particularly advantageous in low-glucose formulations.

Sodium Pyruvate Solution (100X) is a sterile, ready-to-use reagent formulated at 100 mM (11 g/L). It can be added directly to cell culture medium or used in other laboratory applications.
