One-step TUNEL Cy3 Apoptosis Detection Kit
The One-step TUNEL Cy3 Apoptosis Detection Kit can be used to detect breaks in nuclear DNA in tissues or cells during apoptosis. Intracellular DNA endonucleases are activated during apoptosis, cutting off genomic DNA between nucleosomes, and DNA degrades into 180 - 200 bp or other integer multiple fragments. The 3 ́-OH terminal produced by the genomic DNA break is added to the end with the labeled dUTP at its end under the action of terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase (TdT), This allows detection under a fluorescence microscope or flow cytometry (Ex/Em=550nm/570nm).
This kit can be used in a wide range of applications to detect apoptosis in frozen or paraffin sections, as well as to detect apoptosis of cultured adherent or suspension cells.

293A cells were divided into three groups: control group, Positive group using DNase I treatment, Apoptosis group using 10μM Camptothecin treatment. After 12 hours of treatment, TUNEL kit (K1134) was used to detect cell Apoptosis.
