NTR1 activator
Featured Products
Neurotensin (CAS 39379-15-2) is a 13-amino acid neuropeptide acting primarily through neurotensin receptor 1 (NTR1), a G protein-coupled receptor prominently expressed in the central nervous system and intestinal tissues. Binding of neurotensin to NTR1 initiates intracellular signaling cascades, including modulation of miRNA expression. For instance, neurotensin-induced upregulation of miR-133α in human colonic epithelial cells affects receptor recycling by targeting aftiphilin (AFTPH), a protein linked to receptor trafficking via endosomal and trans-Golgi network pathways. Neurotensin thus serves as an important tool for understanding GPCR trafficking mechanisms and miRNA regulation in gastrointestinal physiology and pathology.
