DOTMA
DOTMA is a tetramethylated DOTA analog. As a cationic lipid, it is used as a component of liposomes and serves as a non-viral vector for gene therapy. DOTMA induces a positive charge on liposomes, thereby promoting effective interactions between liposomes and the cell membrane. It is commonly used for the delivery of siRNA, microRNA, and oligonucleotides, as well as for in vitro gene transfection, and shows very good gene transfection performance both in vitro and in vivo.
