A549 Cells
The A549 cell line was established in 1972 by Giard DJ through lung cancer tissue transplantation and is derived from a 58-year-old Caucasian male. A549 can synthesize lecithin, which is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, and is keratin positive, through the cytidine diphosphatidylcholine pathway.
