Amcinonide
Amcinonide (CAS No.: 51022-69-6) is a synthetic glucocorticoid widely used in biomedical research, especially in the field of drug development. As an effective glucocorticoid receptor agonist, Amcinonide modulates inflammatory responses by inhibiting nitric oxide release (IC50 in the low nanomolar range), a mechanism that has shown significant biological activity in in vitro experiments. This compound has significant effects in reducing the expression of pro-inflammatory genes such as inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and interleukin-1β (IL-1β) in glial cells. In addition, Amcinonide can selectively regulate immune cell populations and reduce the expression of Ia antigen, providing an important tool for studying immune mechanisms. In cellular and animal models, Amcinonide is used to explore pathways related to dermatitis and other inflammatory conditions, with typical application scenarios including rat paw edema and air-pouch granuloma models, where various doses are usually determined according to the experimental design and research objectives. Although its potential in topical anti-inflammatory applications has been validated in animal models, Amcinonide is primarily used as a research compound in broad biomedical research contexts for drug discovery and development.
