TAK-220 is a selective, orally available antagonist that inhibits the binding of RANTES, MIP-1α, and MIP-1α with values of 3.5 nM and 1.4 nM, respectively, but has no effect on CCR2b, CCR3, or CCR3; TAK-220 also selectively inhibits the binding of RANTES, MIP-1α, and MIP-1α to CCR2b, CCR3, or CCR3, respectively, in peripheral monocytes, with values of 1.2 nM (HIV-1KK), 0.72 nM (HIV-1CTV), 1.7nM (HIV-1HKW), 1.7nM (HIV-1HNK), 0.93nM (HIV-1HTN) and 0.55nM (HIV-1HHA), with values of 12nM (HIV-1KK), 5nM (HIV-1CTV), 12nM (HIV-1HKW), 28nM (HIV-1HNK), 15nM (HIV-1HTN) and 4nM (HIV-1HHA).
