Relutrigine (PRAX-562) is an orally active, persistent sodium channel inhibitor.Relutrigine potently and preferentially inhibits persistent I induced by ATX-II (Nav1.5 activator) or the SCN8A mutation N1768D, with values of 141nM and 75nM, respectively.Relutrigine exhibits use dependent blockade that reduced intrinsic neuronal excitability.Relutrigine has potent anticonvulsant activity.
