Selective, high affinity 5-HT4 receptor agonist
Featured Products
Prucalopride Succinat (CAS No.: 179474-85-2) is a selective, high-affinity 5-hydroxytryptamine 4 (5-HT4) receptor agonist, mainly used to study gastrointestinal motility disorders associated with chronic constipation. Its affinities for the 5-HT4A and 5-HT4B receptors are 2.5 nM and 8 nM, respectively, with selectivity more than 150-fold higher than other 5-HT receptor subtypes. In in vitro studies, Prucalopride Succinat shows anti-proliferative activity against A549 lung cancer cells at low micromolar levels and induces autophagy and apoptosis by inhibiting the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. In cell and animal models, this compound is commonly used to evaluate its effects on gastrointestinal motility function, and the doses or concentrations used in experiments typically depend on the experimental design and research objectives.
