Kendomycin ((-)-TAN2162) is a polyketide antibiotic with significant antibacterial and tumor cytotoxic activity. At low concentrations (5 μg/mL), Kendomycin inhibits the growth of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strain COL.Kendomycin is an endothelin receptor antagonist and calcitonin receptor agonist with anti-osteoporotic effects.
