FNDR-20123 is a potent, safe, first-in-class anti-malarial inhibitor against Plasmodium falciparum and humans at 31 nM and 3 nM, respectively.FNDR-20123 exhibits anti-malarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum asexual stage (IC = 41 nM) and sexually hemorrhagic stage (male gametocytes IC = 190 nM).FNDR-20123 inhibits, HDAC2, HDAC3. HDAC8 with ICs of 25, 29, 11, and 282 nM, respectively, and inhibited class III isoforms at nanomolar concentrations.
